Circatron invests in the future
On January 6th 2009 Circatron commissioned its new high precision, fully automated, high volume surface mount production line. Investing £500K in new technology and expanded its capacity and accuracy to capitalise on a rapidly changing global marketplace.
Along with global economic pressures and the sudden exposure to currency fluctuations in dollar and euro zone countries causing manufacture costs to rise, Circatron has taken the initiative to provide a low cost medium to high volume manufacture solution in the UK and offer the cost and lead time benefits to our clients along with a close working relationship that can be achieved when working in the same country without linguistic barriers.
MD Derek Ireland said, "this is just the next phase in the companies history and brings us a step closer to realising our ambitions as a premier contractor and a beacon in the UK manufacturing sector" and on the question of overseas manufacture he added "the current climate provides an opportunity for companies manufacturing in the Far East and Eastern Europe to re evaluate their supply chain and Circatron is well placed to assist and ensure that the process runs smoothly".
